About EcoTeach
EcoTeach – Your Digital Partner for Forest Education, Environmental Education & ESD
EcoTeach supports teachers, forest educators, and environmental educators in quickly and solidly designing teaching units on forests, wildlife, and climate change. The AI is based on forest and agricultural didactics and links current climate data with proven methods of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
How EcoTeach Works
Needs assessment in three questions
At the start of each consultation, the AI asks for:
Target group (age / educational level)
Location (geo-coordinates, place name, or postal code)
Group size
All subsequent suggestions are precisely tailored to your situation on this basis.
Analysis of local climate data
Using stored climate tables and forest monitoring datasets, EcoTeach AI creates a 50-year climate projection for your location. From this, easy-to-understand climate analogies emerge (e.g., “The future climate of your region will resemble today’s climate in Lyon”), making climate change tangible for learners.
Didactic planning & materials
Step-by-step procedures for excursions, project days, and lesson series
Method ideas ranging from role plays to citizen science approaches
Worksheets, reflection, and transfer tasks with SDG references
Tips for differentiation for heterogeneous groups
Focus on tree species migration & resilience
The AI shows which native tree species will come under stress in the future and which climate-resilient species have potential. It takes into account ecological risks, opportunities for biodiversity, and silvicultural recommendations.
Practical, participatory, clearly understandable
All suggestions are formulated so that colleagues without subject expertise can implement them— including time requirements, materials lists, and safety/nature conservation notes.
Possible Uses
Lesson preparation (single lessons to project weeks)
Professional development for faculties or multipliers
Planning forest days, holiday camps, and extracurricular workshops
Support with funding and project applications (e.g., climate education, ESD programs)
All of my AIs were originally trained in German; to use the English version or another language, start the conversation in your native language.
