About KoLINAR
KoLINAR is an AI-powered assistant designed specifically for the needs of teachers who work with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum and who have to create autism-sensitive worksheets, tests, class exams, and finals. The name nods—with a wink—to the fictional planet Vulcan, whose inhabitants are considered rational and structured. In “Kolinahr,” emotional exceptional states occur—once a Vulcan has gone through this, they become an intellectually important part of society. This also alludes to the “Wrong Planet Syndrome,” a colloquial term sometimes used for the autism spectrum. Strictly speaking, KoLINAR is the acronym for Knowledge-oriented Lifeskills Interface for Neuodiverse Adaptive Regulation.
The impulse for this AI came from practice: Many teaching materials—even well‑intentioned ones—are often overwhelming or inaccessible for autistic students. That costs grades. Complex language, unclear structures, or social demands can lead to frustration and exclusion. This is how academic underachievers are produced. At the same time, teachers often lack the time and expertise to systematically adapt all materials.
KoLINAR is meant to close these gaps: As a digital helper, the AI checks worksheets, exams, and tests for their compatibility with autistic needs—and gives concrete suggestions for adaptation.
